    Default G3 vs. Sprately?

i'm starting to save up to buy myself a nice little fly fishing boat. looking about 10 - 12ft and light enough that i can load and unload it from the roof of my truck by myself. i'll probably put a 9.9hp 2 stroke outboard and an electric motor on it.

i'm debating between the G3 prams and the Sprately boats. both seem really nice. the Spratley 10 footer weighs in at 152 pounds.. the G3 1236 is basically 12 feet and weighs in at 144 pounds. both are rated up to 10hp.

i haven't looked at prices yet, just specs. but i'm leaning towards the G3 based on weight to lenght. its 2 feet more boat and almost 10 pounds lighter.

what do you guys think? are there any other companies out there that make boats like these?

I really like the larger G3's and next year's plan is for a 1652 with jet propulsion. Lots of companies make those 1236's. Look at Lowe or Alumacraft. For me, personally, more weight means more stability but I can see how the weight would be an issue if you're a little "soft"! Kidding again!
