I use breathables and have never had a problem with the cold but will admit the neoprenes are warmer. I just double up on the long johns. I have an entry level pair of Simms and they have been great! I fish in Alaska in the fall where it can rain for days and with neoprenes they never dry out. I switched to the Simms 3 years ago and will never change back.
