Ive heard both good and bad...what can I expect to catch around the Chase (and north of) area on the Thompson, what flies work best for rainbows etc , what is hottest month to fish ?

Depending on the month you can expect rainbows, whitefish, the occasional bull and chinook. The river is up now, so maybe this is the worst time to fish.
