Chauchey, I have a dozen tied up now and just need an address. BTW, I found some clear, black light nail polish last halloween, and I have used it to coat these chironies. Hopefully the UV reflectance will add a little sump'n sump'n to the flies.

Won't that cause convulsions every time I hook a fish?

Phew, finally got some ASB from my local FutureShop. Not sure what I got, but I hope it works. Seems kinda thick, but it is somewhat translucent - I can see through it if I put it up near my eye, but it's much thicker than mylar. The tech guy there said that it's basically the same material as mylar - is this true? If not, what's the difference between getting gunmetal mylar (if that exists)?

Any way, off to cut some strips and make a few prototypes before I make some for the swap.

You probably got the less translucent stuff. I can see through mine with very little difficulty. No worries, they work very well. The difference between 'gunmetal' and 'asb' is the ASB is slightly brighter silver, with some bags having a more translucent property's.

    Update guys -
    Open Till - Feb 8/10
Ship by Date - Feb 22/10

I got Prof's in the mail this week....Very nice! Finished mine off as well, and since I'm going on vacation in a little over a week, I figure might as well put the cutoff in a couple days, and the mail by date shortly before I get back so I can sort and mail as my 'welcome home present'!

Travelling to Whitecourt, AB tonight (90km away) to give a demonstration for a flyfishing club on Anti Static Bag Chironomids so if y'all like I'll tie another dozen to make up for Josh's shortcomings. Let me know...........these doggone Albertans are such chronie greenhorns!

Yo, I have a bunch of this material, can someone post some pics of example flies, and maybe I will tie some up. If they are good enough, maybe I'll join the swap!

    Thanks,
