    Default sunshine coast lakes

well, the winter is a flop....... nice and warm. the fish are cold and a little sluggish but the are still active .leaches are the main menu and sticklebacks are right behind for productivity .the fish are a little deeper now the lakes are clear. more in the 20-30 foot range.next big rain will turn on some big fish if it is as warm as it has been. big cutts are on the take more so than the bows, but a slow presentation with a purple egg sucking leach ,with a peach head will still get some big fish by camp B . stay tight to the wood to get into some bigger fish.
All lower lakes are free of ice and the wind has been minimal . road access has been changing. the upper part of the loop was closed and is off and on because of falling beside the road. the lower part of the loop was 2 way traffic for the last while. a radio is needed for access from 6-5 Monday to Friday . i do have a programed radio for the club and if you in the area and dont have one call to see if its free. better safe then under the wheels of a logging truck eh? 604-bad fish......patches

And today's word is........envy! I am so envious of you "Coasties" as I've been working on the frozen Alberta tundra all winter and commercial tying for a month and I want to fish soooo bad and still it's gonna be a long spell before I can do that. Don't worry about the conditions there just do it....because you can!
