rod holders for pontoons?

how do you guys rig up rod holders on your pontoon boats? i have a FishCat cougar, so it has the quad pontoons. i've tried the strap mount for the Scotty rod holders, but couldn't get it to work. i'm thinking of welding a plate onto the frame so i can bolt on the flush mount. any ideas?

Mine came with a Scotty clamped to the frame.

Outcast makes a rod holder specifically for the FishCat and it's about $18 US. If you don't want that, the one that bj70_guy has is a Scotty Round Rail Mount Adapter. Sells for about $15 US. I'm sure any Scotty dealer could order one for you. Google is your friend.

I HAVE THE SAME SET UP THAT bj70_guy IS USING. I USE TWO, LEFT AND RIGHT..GREAT SET UP. I BOUGHT MINE AT SURPLUS HERBEY'S.

I got a second holder for xmas, I need to go get the mount for it. I'm sure any of the local dealers have or could get it.
