Default I'm not sure if the Personal Message system is working...

I've tried to send a personal message out twice now and it is not showing up in my sent messages file. I haven't had a problem before and while I may have done something wrong, I doubt it. Is it possible something isn't set-up properly with the new layout? Thanks.

Just sent a PM, Rick. I clicked on Private Messages at the top of the screen, then selected Send Message and addressed it to you. Again it did not appear in my Sent Messages file. Cheers.

I believe there's a setting somewhere that says "keep sent items in my sent items folder". If that's unchecked (which may have happened in the forum change), then that could be the problem.

Edit: When you type your PM, at the bottom of the page there are 4 or 5 checkboxes. One of them says "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder" Is it checked when you send the PM? Also, under your forum settings there is a checkbox that says "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default" That would probably be the best place to enable it.

Made the changes you suggested, 11th Warrior. Hopefully, that should take care of things. Thanks!

    hey 11th,

I needed this as well - thanks! To save sent PM's, you need to check that box in "Forum Settings". Glad someone knows what they are doing.....
