Default What a day on Vedder last Saturday

I only had horrible experience from going to Vedder river. People shoulder to shoulder, fights, entangled lines, screwed people whose only thought was meat and move away this earth was built for me" type, all over the place. I did not go back 7 years, yes 7 years exactly and few months over.
However, last Saturday I went there to meet with a real fly and spey enthusiast and true fly fisherman and spend a day on the river.
Ok I knew all the salmon runs had already been finished and that crowd on the river will possibly be of a different make up.
What a surprise !!! People everywhere ready to help, sharing experience and explaining in detail fishing tactics, friendly exchange of tips and information wherever you see people together.
But I would specifically like to say thank you to 24_7 and to Oliver 2 guys that have absolutely made my day showing generosity and unselfishness rarely or never met on this river (in my days on it of course).

So James and Oliver and few other kind people I exchanged opinions and info

    THANK YOU and THANK YOU

It is you and your camaraderie that took me back and will keep me back on this river. I can only say my faith has been restored in the most beautiful manner possible. I will only add with people of this caliber around I don't even need to catch anything.
It would be nice, it would just top up already pleasant and beautiful day
    Thank you
    Al

thanks for the kind words Al. It was a pleasure to meet you as well and do some casting into a really nice run, to bad we didnt get or see any hookups. I hope to see you on the water again and see how much you have learned from the DvD's. Im glad to hear that your faith in the Vedder river has been restored. It can get crowded during steely season but nothing like it does during the salmon runs in the fall. busy for steelies is usually a couple guys beating you to the run LOL there are spots that get worse though but still does not compare. The attitude of guys out there is way better as well which i think you have already experienced.
