with that being said i do recognize the need for a commercial fishery, but isnt there a better way we could do it?
haha i especially liked the one part, with each spring salmon truly costing about $6500, that kinda rattled me

it's all fun and games untill someone looses a fish
it makes you wonder about the true cost of hatchery fish, of all species, and about how many wild fish are actually the progeny of hatchery fish. Anyways one can only hope that someone reads this and is spurned to put some of the passion and energy that they have for fishing for these amazing fish into helping them, and ironically enough hatcheries are often a good place to start when looking for somewhere to start in this fight. There might not be many wild steelhead lleft (eg. 31 to my home river the little campbell, or the handful that came back to the checkamus, the list goes on..) but they are still here and even if one pair of fish returns they are still worth the fight and every bit of your time and effort, just my 2 cents
