Fly fishing is not only a method to catch fish, but a state of mind.

How high is the water C? I'm down in Victoria and haven't been out in 2 weeks!

Everything Ive seen mid island seems to be blown out right now. With more rains on the way things don't look terribly good for moving waters...

I was thinking about hitting some of the local lakes this weekend (wife and kids allowing).

Big Q is certainly fishable and has some very big and angry Cutties hiding from the Coho and Chum...the rest, is well better not talked about! Stamp is very high, but if you are willing to venture out a bit you might conside the Taylor...it is a fly fishing only river and at this moment has very many big Coho waiting for their time...crystal clear waters today...
But it's raining like crazy at the moment...we shall see

Hey 11th - I was in the process of replying to that email, and was interrupted. My schedule really sucks right now, and it seems that any spare time I have is spent bickering with the old lady.

I'm hoping to get out in the afternoon on Monday after classes, but it's looking like the better half will be working - she just started a new job that is supposedly better, but they can't keep a consistent schedule. I was supposed to have today off (remembrance day), but found out two days ago that she works.

    One of these days...........

To make it all worse, now she tells me (10am this morning) that now she doesn't work today. I can't make a schedule more than 4 hours in advance it seems!

So are you staying put at home then 11th? I might try to get out on Sunday, but will be at some "protest" at VIU Saturday afternoon. The Georgia Strait Alliance and Jean Crowder are hosting a sort of town hall meeting to discuss everyone's favourite topic: salmon farms and our declining wild stocks. Should be lots of fun
