Fishing Report for October 27th 2009
Slow.
Fishing and presentations.
The last few days have been on the slow side according to our sources here.
The Kane Valley lakes have been off and on. Last week on for a day then slow.
Apparently the fish don’t seem to be up on the shoals yet. It should be any day now though.
It is that time of the year.
Nicola is still doing all right trolling wedding bands and worms as well as leech flies or gulp leeches.
The higher lakes are starting to get that hard water look to them.
Mamette was starting to freeze around the edges on Sunday when I drove by enroute to a failed date with a Mulie buck.
It won’t be too long until we are using mealworms and tip ups again.
The Thompson is open for Steelhead and fishing well according my fellow Totem Flyfishers.
Nothing beats steel on a dry line.
A fine meal and camaraderie was enjoyed by all who attended around the campfire at Acacia Grove Campground.
Make use of these last days of open water.
Winter is coming soon.
Keep your stick on the ice.
Not on the shoals yet? Dude, check your calendar! It's almost November.
(Just riding ya like a rented mule!)
Thanks for the report.
