    Default rod holder

I had posted this before the site crashed last year and was asked to repost. These rod holders were designed by Rookiespey, but the one's pictured are one's I made. Materials:
2 - suction cup window glass holders. (Princess Auto - about $9 apiece.)
4 - bungee cords with baqll grips (Princess Auto - about $2.50 for pack of 4)
1 - padded shovel handle cover (same place - <$5)
2 - pieces 1" ABS or PVC pipe 8" - 10" (If you are going to carry more than 2 rods you should go with 10")
Zap straps. The pics should make assembly self evident. These will hold spey rods or single handers very securely. put neoprene covers on your reels before traveling.I have used these extensively around the Vedder and the Chehalis. Everything stays secure on gravel road or at highway speed.

Great post Proff! Thanks for re posting it. From what I've been told those things are not cheap in the shops. So I'll be making my own for sure.

I saw a set of the commercial ones on a guys SUV. He told me they were afround $100. These work so well, I can't imagine the others being appreciably better.
