Hello…
I’m heading up to Gun lake in the chilcotins this weekend with a few friends.
Just seeing if there are any pointers for this lake? Which flies in this area for this time of year?
Thanks,
-rob C
congratulations to EYECON and SOMU.i really like your works.hope to see u in the next challenge .....
I know this is a really too late to post, but for anybody that goes out to the Chilcotin. I live just east of the Chilcotins, in williams lake. But what I always have in my fly box for the fall, is a selection of these flies. Leeches, Scuds, Shrimp, Nymphs(early fall), and Spratlies. Hope had good luck at gun lake. And tell me what you used if you had success. Thanks
This is a late one as well. I spent a week and a bit at Palmer lake in the chilcotin. Well worth the treck in. Big fish and lots of them. I recomend big black leaches, or number 8 and 6 to 10 pheasant tails, kinda like a cary special if you will with a peacock herl body. worked wonders there.
