Happy Birthday my friend. Here's hoping you have a good day on the water, and wishing you many more

Happy Birthday, Courtney! Many, many more. Keeping a spot on the drift boat open for Val and yourself. Hope to have you for a float on the Cowichan this winter. How's that little pram working out that you bought from Peter. Does it ever get out off the Nile for those coho? All the best.

Well I have to thank everyone for their kind messages...and yes I did fish completely during that day...landed 6 Coho ,saw lots of fish jumping about and generally had a day to myself..while being able to try me patterns.
Started out near Nile Creek ,landed a 10 lb. Coho on my first cast(not always a good thing)...lost another a few minutes later...then too many people showed up for my liking ...shifted locations,...saw many fish again but too far out....decided to pump up my Watermaster and before I could get it in the water there were 4 other water craft there so I decided to move on again...visited about 6 other spots between Nile Creek and Courtenay and saw jumping Coho in all locations...fished a bit,had a Starbucks Coffee and came back to Nile Creek...met a friend who promptly nailed a few flies off my dash,we went out to the mouth of Nile Creek,he landed 2 bright Clipped Coho with same flies ,I hit a couple, lost them both and decided to go home for a dinner my sweety cooked for me...but thought I would stop at the beginning location just in case...oppppssss,jumping fish...stayed until almost 7...landed 5 Coho, all wild,my wife was a bit wild about me being late but softened when I said I saw fish...she also fishes...
Never did use the Watermaster but had a perfect Birthday...caught all the fish on a bead head coho bugger (Neil) except the largest which I landed using a Crazy Charlie ...figure that!
Note the Coho Bugger ...and my buddy holding one of His Clipped fish and the fly on the fish
