    Hares Ear Nymph... haven't tied trout patterns since my days steelheading on the Great Lakes back in Onterrible. Some friends are pushing for me to load the boat next summer into the Rockies for some westslope cutties, likely the Elk River... guess now is as good a time as any to start putting together a box with that in mind. Count me in.

    I'm putting together a special box for our trip up there next year.

    Here's what I came up with.



    It's a hares ear wiggle nymph, the butt section is tied on a size 15 nymph hook and then tied onto a size 12 hook.

    I'm confused. Are there two hooks, or just one?

    Yes there are two hooks, the butt section is tied on a small hook thats had the bend cut off, then its tied onto the larger hook.
