    Default Cowichan Bay Pinks

Hit the beach near Cherry Pt. for sunrise this morning. Started with my usual cuttie fare, rolled muddler. Didn't see anything till about 8am when I found a small school of pinks well off the beach. Switched to a pink handlbar with a chartreuse head and waded into range. Casting in the calm water put the school down so I waited for them to re-appear and again waded into range. A few more casts and the school moved again. Changed fly patterns for a blue green bucktail, located the school and success! I found the school twice more before I had to leave and invited the last one home for lunch... and a little candied smoked salmon.
