Subject: FN0523-Recreational Fisher - Salmon: Angling Closure in portion of Cowichan River - Region 1

Effective 00:01 hours August 1, 2009 until 24:00 hours November 15, 2009, the
Cowichan River will be closed to all angling from lower Marie Canyon (described
as 50 metres below the confluence with the unnamed creek which drains Mayo
Lake – in the 2009-2011 Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis)downstream to
the tidal water boundary.

I'm confused. Does this mean absolutely NO fishing downstream to the tidal boundry, or just no fishing for salmon?

It's not listed in the changes for region 1 on the freshwater site.
