It kinda looks like this lake.
John, I live 22km up the Deadman Vidette Rd. West of Savona. The only lakes I've fished around this area, are Hi Hium (of course), Red Lake, and Edith. I've ice fished more, other ones, but those are the only lakes I've fly fished. I just looked in the Freshwater regs, looking for the SL3 and SL4 lakes. For some reason, I find myself feeling like I need to hook nice fish on the fly, which is unusual for me.

Have you not fished Hudson Bay Lake? It's right in your neck of the woods. You could always drive to Morgan this fall just south of Savona off Tunkwa Lake Road. Catch and release lake that was restocked and reopened 4 years ago. I have heard reports that the fish have become rather lethargic in there but when it comes to 7lb rainbows they can only be so lethargic! They'll still bulldog circles around your boat.
Ah you spilled the Hudson Bay beans. I used to fish that every weekend, until the partial winter kill a couple years back. I've driven by Morgan numerous times, never fished it, but I've been wanting to. My Pathfinder isn't insured so I can't tow my boat. I don't have a tube or pontoon either, so I'm outa luck right now. I really need to invest in a pontoon boat. What about 6 Mile, right next door to Morgan, have you fished that? I heard that there are some huge (12lb) bows in there.
