    Default Put out your campfires..

Went to another totally preventable forest fire yesterday....

Fire was about 15 has or so, 10 minutes East of Cranbrook, across from the City Effluent fields....

    Detemined the cause.....ABANDONED CAMPFIRE....

Come on people, start spreading the word and making sure all of our campfires are out....

With people not taking responsibilities by putting their fires OUT, we will probably see a lot more Lillooet fires...

If you see a fire please report it.....

    1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on a cell....

If its reported early enough, and we hit it small, maybe we can avoid a multi million $ fire, which all of us , as taxpayers are funding...

Saw a tourist knock out his smoldering pipe into some dry grass yesterday.
I FREAKED, and probably scared him a bit, but now he will think twice before he burns down someone's town.

People just need to think about the repercussions of their actions (not just about forest fires, either).
Catch and Release -- into my frying pan!

today i poured water on a smoldering fire pit at a lake, and on my way home i put out a smoldering fire at a "party spot".

i realy do not understand why people need to have a fire. having a small fire to roast marshmellows or hotdogs is fine if you pour water on it when your done, but whats the point of having a fire for the sake of having a fire?

Just got back from a 11 day tour at the Tyaughton Lake fire.....

8000 has burned just because someone was too lazy to fully extinguish their campfire when they left.....Stupid....

Lots of nice looking water up there though....
