Go to Roche! It's accessible, there's camping, and there are about a bazillion big fish in the lake.

    Default go smaller

Big Ok aka Island lake, it's catch and release only, high elevation so weather may be an issue but good times to be had

Roche! lots of spots to fish no need of fighting for spot. Last week Friends did very well there, fishing deep water suspended 22-27ft down with brown size 14's

I would seriously consider higher elevations based on water temperatures. Preferably lakes over 4500' should be going good. Chataway Mountain has several productive lakes between 4600-5200' and you could stay at the resort or any of the forestry sites on that mountain. Fishing chironomids down 25' in June is just not enjoyable in my opinion.

On the other hand, in central Alberta we're still catching hogs in 6' of water on chironomids as surface temperatures are just now approaching 60F.

ya, penask is awsome. trolling near that big rock poking up in the water across from the camp site (i dont know if its always visible) and your garenteed fish. do you know if theres any bigger fish in there? i have only ever got ones around a pound. and whats up with that club on the lake? is it where all the rich folk go to be in the wilderness? lol
