if you want good cromanid fishing head up to damer lake near oyama lake, i couldnt keep them off my line today. they might be a bit far for you but try heading up to square lake or lady king that are both near pinaus lake and fish cromanids. at oyama lake you can pretty much troll any fly and you will get some action. any lakes in the dee lake chain are usualy good (dee lake, island lake, deer lake, crooked lake, beaver lake), the northern lakes are better for lasting while the southern lakes are better for trolling.

if your looking for a mapbook, try the backroad mapbook. i was just up at damer again and it was dead today, so im not sure if i just got lucky the last few times i was up there or if it was just a bad day today. its north of kelowna so i wouldnt recomend traveling from penticton for it.

I have some good spots around Kelowna, I'll PM you with them if you promise not to share with everyone.

One that's already publicized and popular is James Lake.

Sure, the fish aren't huge, but you can catch them all season by any method really. There are some good late season hatches up there because of the altitude, and the evening rise is a thing to behold. It's a great lake for people just starting to fish (kids love it), and you can really get some good experience from that lake. If you're up for it, I'm going to go up to James on Thursday for the evening rise, before a big trip up to Monashee on Friday.

Don't expect to catch anything over 2lbs though... and that's the upper end. It can also have some wild party people at it, because it's known as a party lake - hence the midweek fishing.
