    Default The Powderkeg fishing report

    The Powderkeg Fishing Report

It is so close to being that time I can taste it.
The bugs are just waiting to hatch. Just a few more degrees and it will be excellent.
Campbell was fishing well last weekend.

Peterhope fish are liking chromies and ice cream cones.

Glimpse has been a little slow but should pick up with the better weather expected.

Lundbom continues to fish fairly well with the usual suspects of chironamids, leeches and 52’ Buicks.

In between fronts Tunkwa has been fishing well for the lucky ones with the killer pattern, which is still a secret. We do have our feelers out to get to the bottom of that though.

Leighton has been O.K. with Pumpkin Heads and Minney lake Special wooly buggers.

It won’t be long until the mayflies are hatching well and the damsels are migrating. Three good days in a row and the fishing is going to go gangbusters.

Maybe I will see you out on Stump Sunday.

Finally made it to Merritt and met The Legend in person. It's just so sad that his live appearance doesn't do his avatar justice!

I'm sure Fred will do just fine there and he and Joan seem to be a great fit for the town of Merritt.

Damn you Fred for pulling that new Browning X-Bolt off the wall and forcing it into my hands but I guess you knew what you were doing!

The fly tying section is getting whipped into shape and is a vast improvement over what it was.

Best of luck Fred and I hope you get fat off the Timmies!

Ya, I got an e-mail from the catcher of said 9 lb'er the morning after. He was fairly stoked about the Pumpkinhead and it's effectiveness!
