    Good luck!
With late spring start, low elevation lakes are great bet!

I have had my best luck ,early seaon at Jacko fishing chronies in tight & in very shallow water. You'll probably hit a good portion of average fish, but the odd lunker will also frequent these haunts.Match the hatch!

    Default Jacko Lake

Well the fishing wasn't how a planned it. It was very windy all day and it SNOWED!!!
We fished Jacko for about 4 hours and nothing, i didn't see one fish caught all day. there where about 6-8 boats on the water. I don't know if the lake is always dark in colour but the visiblity was about 2 feet max. I would have thought that it turned already?
there was fish rising everywhere right next to the boat launch, but they wouldn't take anything. nothing seemed to make sense.
We spend the rest of the day at Stake lake. beautiful lake and crystal clear water. but only small fish 12" i heard that stake has some nice fish in it though.
it was nice to get out on the water and theres alway the next trip.

Thanks for the report Josh, sounds like it is turning to me.Stake is a beautiful lake , although a little to close to the highway for my liking. The fish are decent but I wouldn't expect any lunkers.

If it was really dark, might not have turned over. I find it's hit or miss. Some days it will be excrutiatingly slow...but I find usually on those days the one or two fish I hook into are more than well worth the wait.

The last time I fished there I landed a 5lber off the rocks after flipping flies for a couple hours...biggest fish I got out of there was 8....

Can be a very a rewarding lake...despite how heavily fished it is.
