Here you go folks.
The Powderkeg Fishing Report May 5th 2009
Things are finally starting to really get rolling.
For all you folks calling, yes the Kane Valley lakes are finally where we need them to be.
Kane Lake is ice free as of Sunday. Harmon Lake was 1/3 open on Monday and should be ready to go for the weekend.
The Pike Mountain area is also coming along nicely. According to my sources, Clifford, Larry, Ricky and Thalia are waiting for you.
Kump will be good soon as it was 20% open on Saturday.
Lundbom has been serving up some large fish as of late. Saturday saw a couple of not too shabby 5-7 pounders eating gunmetal chromies.
The south end of Stump is starting to produce with leeches as well.
Rumour has it a 52’ Buick fished on the shoals at Courtenay might be a good bet. ; )
Here’s hoping you can get out and drag a wedding band or cast a fly this weekend.
Maybe I will see you out there Sunday.
