Happy New Year everyone. I'm just starting to get into flyfishing and was wondering what might be working now in Elk lake for fly fishing, or some suggestions.
Cheers,
Rick.
Your best bet is likely a wooly bugger towed real slow, or possibly a chironomid pattern if the weather warms up enough for a midge hatch. I don't know Elk very well, but have talked to a few guys who have been out on the lakes up island from you and they said they were doing ok on wooly buggers. Seems like a good bet to me.
