So I have been away from Fly fishing for quite a few years now, and basically have had to re-learn everything.
With the purchase of my float tube, I am now fully immersed into fly fishing, and am likely a lost cause....

So last year, I caught my first fish on a fly that I tied (a black wooly bugger)-that was a great feeling.

But Thursday was an astounding feeling - the first time I caught my limit on a fly I had tied! (and then some - had 10 to hand by the time I was done!).

It was another wooly bugger - olive this time - and my buddy was getting blanked, and was scrambling to find anything comparable. Since he is the more experienced of the two of us, I took guilty pleasure in out-fishing him for a change.

Can't wait to get out and do it again!

(I was coerced into tying him a couple of those flies now, so next time we should be a little more even!)

Just thought I would share this personal milestine with y'all - maybe you more experienced fishermen can trip down memory lane on this one....
