Sounds like lots of fun!

Got out sea-run fishing again this last week and found a fair number of them out there.
Seaweed was terrible on thursday but it didn't stop the fish from biting.
All kinds of bait out there, various sizes of fry and I aslo spoted a school of sand lance that were about 4" long and making lots of flash.
A few bigger cutties got on the line for a little while, but then took off before they could get their picture. So the only fish to hand were all less than 12".
Still plenty fun.

Salar, do you dead drift the red bugger like a sea worm or strip it in?

Stripping the red bugger is about 1/2 the speed of a smimming minnow, not an escaping minnow that swims at Mach Speed. As I am sure you have heard me whimper before,,we don't use dry fly enough, especially me when I seem to be reluctant to switch over...but the results are often predictable...FISH!
So,tomorrow morning early Val and I are off to the local beach before 6,the tides are perfect and we will see how we do...
My favorite type fly for this dry fly action is a Parachuted Stimulator pattern in a size 6 or 8

Check out the parachute...really helps to identify the fly while being worked inside the rollers off the beach
