    Default Nehaliston caddis hatch

I'm hoping to time a few days on the Nehaliston Plateau to coincide with the caddis hatch. I know no one can predict it with absolute certainty, but I'd very much appreciate a sense of what a likely schedule might be.

    Thanks,

    Default Timing

The late spring may retard things a bit this year.
From my observations though photo period is a huge part of the equation.
Most of the lakes I fish get the traveller hatches from between june 15th to july 15th ish depending on elevation. I have had great caddis action at Ruddocks which is at approx. 4100' on the july long weekend.
They start eating dries way before that though.
Always looking for them big juicy mouthfuls.

Thanks. I think I'll probably be there just after the long weekend, so all should be well. Just by chance, I hit two days of the hatch several years ago, and it was some of the most exciting fishing I've ever experienced. I hope for a repeat. My problem is that I can't remember just when it was I was there...

Thanks, your assistance is much appreciated.
