Default Any one want to go fishing near Terrace?

I'm headed to Terrace this weekend (Driving from Fort St. John on Saturday the 28th - start fishing on the 29th) and I'll be there for 4 days of fishing before I drive home on the Thursday.

I wondering if anyone wants to join me on the water. I'm after steelhead on the fly and will be focussed on the Kalum and Copper rivers, but might explore other areas depending on the weather, but it sounds like a lot of rain so likely just the Kalum since I expect that the Copper will cloud up if it's raining or the water comes up fast.

I hope to camp, not exactly sure yet, depends on what's open, but either Ferry Island in town if it's open - that would be my 1st choice, or Kleenza Creek near the Copper, or Pine Lake north west of town and a short drive from most of the Kalum spots on the west side.

If the weather is really miserable, I might hit a motel or B&B for a night to dry off and get my spirits back up.

Any who, PM me if you are interested in either camping and fishing, or just meeting on the water at some point.

I'll post a trip report when I get back.

I was out there last August (second to last week of the month).

The water was highish and low visibility, but the salmon were easy to catch. Got a few coho and pinks, but I was attempting to target steelhead, which I didn't get.

I'm hoping this time will work out better with lower, clearer water and not as many salmon around, though I understand that there will be a few springs showing up here and there.
