    Default Rocksteady

New to the site, just what I need another site to be a member of....(Said sarcasticaly)....

Live in the East Kootenays, was raised fishing freshwater, then life got nuts and hung up the rods......Good friend got me back into it by going ice fishing with me.....Now I got the bug again

    I ice fish....
    I troll smaller lakes....
I don't spin cast, except for BASS
I used to fly fish......I want to really get back into it......

Have not tied a fly since I was in Grade 8 (thats over 3 decades ago).......

Am also on BC fishing reports forum.....

Also on Hunting BC....Hunting is my passion (addiction) but looking at fishing, especially fly fishing as my second....

Not a hard core fly fisherman, basic rod/reel combo from Canuck Tire, no graphite, custom rods etc (yet ????)

Not this one, I have several meals cached away in the freezer of filets from previous outings.....Gonna try something different with this one......A buddy suggested smoking (light smoke) and then deep frying or poach as a finisher....SOunds worth trying....
