I was wondering how to make those flies. I had a couple in a box that was given to me, but never knew exactly what they where called.Now I do.

Where do you guys get the beads for the pumpkin head pattern? Are they craft beads or special fly tying beads?

I pick them up at Beadworks (about $2 for 3-400) . You can get them at some tackle shops, but for the most part they are just repackaging craft store beads.

The silver lining of these beads work well as an attractor. I use the ruby red color for a number of different leech patterns. I tied up some PH yesterday the same as the recipe. I will tie a few in dark olive and brown olive as well.:yeah:
Walking Eagle, do yourself a favour and tie some in rust brown also known as root beer. At times they are better than the original olive.
