    Default Sage Spey Rods

Is it me or are Sage double handers a little heavier than other brands, like Scott, Loop, TFO? I own the 9144 VT2, and the 8140 FLi. Both rods are cannons and I like them. However next to a Loop 9140 Green they're a pretty heavy stick. I'm also wondering if the Z Axis is a cannon as well?

I can't speak on the TFO's as I don't cast them but the Scott Rods are known for being thinner walled and lighter rods. And in the Loop line-up the Green series is designed to be as light as possible. So I don't think it's that Sage's rods are real heavy, the ones you have just aren't on the light end of the scale.

I would rather use a heavy rod for beating off a "Grizz". Sage 8150.

Those Sage rods are heavier...the Z-Axis is somewhat lighter inhand with a different through action..Why 14's?

    I have a 14'3" Z-Axis never used hardly..will part with it for $550

I'm guessing 14' ft rods seem for the most part to be the most common length used in my neck of the woods. What weight is the Z Axis?
