Oh I might be a little green around the gills right now.
-8. All the water is hard.
Anything that isn't I can't get to because of snow.
Keep em' coming.
I am living vicariously through all the coast folk this year.

I was out for a couple hours yesterday in Fulford here on saltspring island and had a blast.I landed 5 coho and a couple nice cutties which had that nice golden, yellow colour with heavy spotting.I also lost 4 more.I started with #4 mickey finn, then they seamed to lose interest,so I swithed to a #6 black wooley bugger with some flash. They went nutts for this when stripped very fast. After awhile they tired of this offering and my fingers were numb and the tide was falling,so I called it a day.I have noticed the fish only come in shallow on a high tide.About an hour before, durring and an hour after high tide is the best. The fish weren't huge, but a couple of the coho were in the 3lb range and faught well on a 5 weight.![]()

is there cutties around in august around saltspring?
I have caught sea-runs in Fulford Harbour. Beautiful, healthy fish. I've had my best winter SRC fishing here on southern V.I. in the last 10 years. Have landed a few Bluebacks as well.
yes, there are cutts around most of the year.catch and release only.
