    Default Ruddock's

A couple queries, Fred. Is there campsites at the lake and is that a possibility? Is it possible to walk around the lake or are there trails for walking? Are daytrips a possibility? I would prefer to stay right at the lake but my wife is starting to ask about alternative options. Oh oh!

    Default Camping

If all goes according to plan John, I will have a 14x16 wall tent up there.

You can walk around most of the lake. The end where the creek comes in is a big swamp. There was a moose living in there last summer.
There are lots of trails and roads for walking.

Day trips are definately a possibility.

The Ranch house is available or you could stay in Lytton.

What did you think of those views?
If memory serves me one of them is from the hot tub.

As ol' Pendlington would say, "the views are absolutely stunning." The ranch house is a great value for three or four couples. I would seriously consider getting brochures made up and handing some out to the Powderkeg in Merritt.
There are a lot of American dollars that pass through their doors during the course of fishing season and when I worked there umpteen years ago the majority were going to Corbett or Minnie/Stoney. The last year I worked there I had this hot yellow waterboatman pattern that the fish in Corbett were taking for???? and it just killed in July and the tourists were buying them by the dozens!

    Default Hmmm.

Sounds like a great idea John.
Powderkeg has been around for a long time.
    When did you work there?

this is a sweet lake! I fished it quite a few times before it was really protected private... I have seen a lot of ten+ LB fish come from it...the early july sedge hatch is amazing.... Fred you will be hearing frrom me to fish it a few times this year... I am glad we can actually fish it again....

Just want to let you know that on the website you should put the coordinates as N50 and W121 because otherwise if you search for it on google earth you end up in northern china or if you use that dashes as negatives in the southern pacific by argentina. Looks awesome though and it's not much more than 2 hours from Chilliwack.
