    Default Body coatings

I have been tying a wack of chironis lately.
Many have fragile bodies of tinsel and ribs of flashabou etc.
I have used Loon Hard head on a few and like the look.
A little (O.K. a big) bird told me that it can change colour over time.
    Freddie no like that.
    So my question is....
what do you use, and what are the pro's and cons.
As well, any experience with the Loon Hard Head would be appreciated.

Yeah the Loon Hard Head will eventually turn milky, in my experience. I just bought some Sally Hansen Mega Shine(extended wear top coat lol) nail enamel from the drug store. Seems to be the ticket as I heard of lots of tyers using it and it seems pretty tough and glossy.

    What about Hard as Hull?
I have heard some good things about Sally Hansen as well.

I have used the Hard as Hull cement and it is tough and glossy but the bottle is small and dries up too quick. Pricey for a small bottle compared to the alternatives.

    Hey Fred.
Sally Hansens is the way I go. I buy it at Zellers cheap cheap. Have never had a problem with it. If you have a problem getting it where you are, PM me your addy and I will send you some.

I will have a look around here Cliff.
    Thanks all for the advice.

I want to get more than 1 or 2 fish per fly.

Hell I just want to catch a fish!

I was told to us Sally Hansen Hard as Nails with Teflon I think. Otherwise it's with nylon. Any store that sells nail polish will have it. Or steal it from your wife. Make sure you get the clear stuff. Last time I looked they had a whole new line of hard as nails products. Never tried them though.
