    Default An old buggar.

For coho try the coho buggar, also known as the california neal.
Hook- i like straight shank, straight eye saltwater hooks, size 10-6, tiemco 9394, or a slightly shorter shank.
tail- bucktail and a couple strands of flashabou
body- pearl braid, palmered with grizzly hackle and counter wound with wire for durability
head- thread, head cement, add eyes or bead for weight if required

Very easy to tie. try it in chartreuse and always have some in pink for when the pinks are at the beach.

Did you tie those? they certainly are going in the right direction. It seems that the really good salt fly guys (which i'm not claiming to be) have very few patterns, in a few sizeswith slight variations.

For Fraser River pinks, i've not found a fly better than a size 8 sparse hot pink and white clouser. i have about 50 tied up in preparation for the fall, with more to come.

I fish on the Island and I'd have to say that the clouse tied sparse is a killer here too. Though I try to do several colors as pink isn't always the flavour of the hour. Try green and also some blue.

thanks, ya i have quite afew clousers in pink, chartreuse, blue, purple, orange and red. has any one tried a clouser tied with a rabitt strip instead of bucktail for the overwing(could be under wing depending on how you look at it, but i mean if the hook is up) i think that would give it some good movement ill post a pic in a little bit cause no i really wanna go tie one of those

so this is the proto-type for it
    hook:stainless hook(whatever your prefence)
    thread: pink
    tail:white bucktail
    underwing:silver flashabou
    wing: pink sonker strip
