Dropped In To Say Hello

After clicking a link to this site off another flyfishing/tying site I came over without ever being here. I liked what I saw immediately so thought I better register for the simple reason that fly tying sustains me through the winter and I just can't get enough of seeing what other tyers are tying and saying.

I managed Tunkwa Lake Resort for 9 years, have commercially tied for 15 years and now after some serious downscaling I have Kamloops Fly Shop as my sole client. So what that means is although I promised myself to quit tying commercially I still have 250 dozen to tie this winter.

I now work in the oilpatch and it is quite a lifestyle shock from the life at a fishing resort.

I look forward to conversing with you all this winter and hopefully sharing some Interior stillwater next spring.

Good to hear from you and looking forward to swapping a few flies...there are several of you fellows in the "PATCH" tying...too much time on your hands or the winter too long???
