    Default Hello from Willy !

Great site , good posts & links ....newer to flysishing but love it. Looking forward to Steelhead season.....Something has always puzzled me...everyone from BC is SO secretive of where to fish...how can you find some good places to go....without offending anyone by asking ?

    Default Fishing areas

The best thing is to glean what you can first from the forum.
There is a ton of info here.
Members who have spent many years finding there own little valhalla's
    are justifibly secretive.
    ( Me included )
Having said that, there is a lot of good water that is common knowledge and we will gladly steer you to some of that.
Now if you jump in and get involved, we have noticed the responses are better. Hint hint.
Attending functions etc. is a great way to meet members. This always ends up in hooking up with someone to go fishing.
I am sure that you will get PM's from members as well.

Hey thanks for the info guys , more than willing to " put in my time" ...FYI if you ever want to experiance great Rainbow fishing on the fly ....Sauble River once of the greatest places in Ont. I know why everyone is secretive (due to knuckle heads) ....its just frustrating trying to pry some spots out of people...Oh well never give up...

    Default Uncle...great great great great

Hey Wiarton...it was one of my ancestors that established Meaford Ontario. Sailed up Lake Simoce..train a bit further north...Nottawasaga River to Willow Creek and trailed the rest... Have the dates somewhere in the "archives"..in other words under this mess somewhere...Last name was "Eagles"

    Hey SalaR

Meaford is the Ont version( or at least good try) at Kelowna , neat piece of historical information.....Home to the largest apple in Ont ( maybe Canada not sure).
Georgian triangle fishing derby ....off the shores of Meaford is a great hang out for Salmon.

Back in the late '80s I used to canoe down the Notti and fish around Willow Creek for Browns...and the odd Skamania...strictly Dry Fly of course...then a few years later I found out about my ancestors...historical footprint?
