Well the season is closed.
No shooters today, but it was excellant anyway.
We saw 2 does at one area and 2 does at another.
Upon inspecting our tire tracks on the way out, it appears that we spooked a buck out as we left.
Say la Vee.
On an up note.
There were two trees across the road and we procured an easy load of wood.
Pays for the gas today.
Now I guess it will be ducks and geese.

Oh well its never a loss. I"m sure you saw lots of gorgeous country.
Fred, if I had joined up earlier I pobably could've helped you fill that Whitetail tag. I am fairly active on HuntingBC.ca and this season I directed a couple of the regulars to the spot where the Whiteys always seem to rut at the end of November just south of Tunkwa. One of the members harvested a decent 3 pt. and had a chance at the hawg I've been chasing for three years. I think he is way to cagey for me and will probably die of old age before I get a shot at him.
When I was managing the resort that buck spent the winters in the timber between the resort and the provincial park and his tracks came by my truck every night but it took two years before I saw him for the first time and then in April/07 my black lab, Buck, found one of his sheds in a tangled mess of blowdowns which was a 5 pt. with a 14" G2. Buck definitely good his fill of doggie treats that day!
Aah, next hunting season is soooo far away!
Hi John.
Maybe next year!
Perhaps a cast and blast next season.
I haven't hunted for a few years and forgot how good
it is being out in the bush.
Going to pick up my share of a mulie from nov. tomorrow
BTW, I am phearless over there as well.![]()
