Default Fly O' the Month - December

So this month I have decided on

    Rolled Muddlers!

Any version or colour variation you like.
This is one of the most versatile flies out there.

    Let's see them.

    Default Murrays Rolled Muddler

Tom Murray was in the Store the other day..and is a friend...yet I didn't know he was the originator of that pattern until I introduced him to some customers. The bead head rolled Muddler has been my most productive fly for Cutties and even Pink Salmon on the Eve this year...no kidding. We were stymied when we outfished many regulars with this pattern.
Great fly...have to learn how to tie it..Deer hair is not one of my materials I use ...ever
    Chicken I guess

good choice Fred, although I don't have any tied up, This reminds me of fishing the Kitimat River this July, the fishing was slow but a young guy from Quebec was nailing chum and springs from a small run. when I asked him what he was using, he showed me a small rolled muddler, i couldn't believe it but after doing research, I have heard that alot of people even use them for steelhead. Has anyone here caught steel with them. I will hit the bench soon and then post some pics. think I will try olive as well. Rick's video post should help as I don't get along with deer hair very well.

Just whipped this one up, my first ever muddler, gotta work on trimmin' the head to shape. was easier than I thought, now to do some more, I think I will try natural and if I can find the materials, purple as well.
