I can assume your favourite method is dry fly.
Gotta love a rise!

Scoopy ...the human female type I hope..anyway....Dryflyguy welcome and do share some of your favorite patetrns...a friend of mine just last week landed about a 19" Searun Cutthroat on the Upper Little Qualicum River on a PArachuted Stimulator...not the average fly for this time of year in high and coloured water with plenty of spawning Chum about!!

Thanks guys. I do prefer the dry fly, but I'll fish any fly that catches fish. My favorite dry fly of all time is the Royal Coachman, but it's maybe better at catching me than fish. I grew up in Hope, and know the Coquihalla and the Skagit very well. Currently live in Langley. Love fishing for rainbows, steelhead and sea-run cutthroat. I tie all my own flies and make my own rods. Used to tie a little for a few fly shops in the area, but that was years ago. I'll try to jump into some of the fly-swaps - never done that before, but it sounds fun.

Hey welcome. Living in langley must drive you crazy now. In hope there's lots of fishing 5 minutes all around but now I guess you have to make a day of it.
The only fly my dad knew was the Royal Coachman so of course it was my go to fly as a youth...what really startled me was that my Grandmother(mothers side) also used that fly...I grew up in New Brunswick and of course fished fly...landed a big Salmon on the Renous River on a Coachman when I was about 13...
Great fly
