    Default Hi All

    Hello to the Forum.
Phearless , in answer to your comment, yes I do like the beadheads. But not just the traditional ones. I just moved to Vancouver Island from Southern Ontario where I did a lot of Great Lakes Steelheading. I used a lot of egg patterns there and I started tying them up about 20 years ago with a bead at the front just like the beadhead nymph only using glo bug yarn and called them "eggbeaders" hence the name beadheadfred. I will post a pic on my album soon.

Just wanted to say tight lines to all!

    Default Fred...Bead Head

Hi Fred...as "Fred said" welcome! I too spent many years in the Southern Ontario area before coming to the Island, via Vancouver, and have forgotten about the beads in front of the egg patterns...here we will often weight the hook before we tie the egg pattern but you know I really like the small brass bead in front of the egg...thanks for reminding me of this

welcome bhf. Looks like I might have to tie up some of those eggbeaders. Nice to have a bit different look to toss out there. Hope you enjoy your time here on the forum and welcome to God's country (just don't tell to many folks "back in the old country" how great it is here).
