Default 11th month, 11th hour of the 11th day!!

Remembrance day! We must never forget why we have the freedoms we all take for granted!!

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

Very good post. Truly a day to remember forever.
We have friends that have to work today(Ontario). Some variations in stats from province to province.
This is one day that should be a country wide statutory holiday.
My grandfather used to sit in the bunkers in Stanley Park on the look out.

    Default Emotion

It is on this day every year that some emotions stir within me....I do not support wars that are created from greed or lust but I do support and grieve for all those souls that have bravely stood up and given their lives and bodies for our way of life. How can One possibly understand those moments of heroism, fear and Love. To those fallen soldiers I salute you
