Sounds like a great fly to me.

    Default Thanks Phearless

I am from NB originally and have used the bomber for Atlantics. I now reside in Victoria (past 3 years). And the bomber is still one of my favourites for summer runs. Very happy to be here.

I will never forget my First Big Atlantic that attacked my Bomber from about 20 feet away. The fly was big, size 4 Bomber...White Spun Deer Hair with gaudy rusty Orange hackles ,tail and front antenae...the fish was laying under a leaning over Cedar tree in a pool about 5 feet deep. The leaning tree was about 15 ft. up a rock face...made the cast with a small Two Hander(Hardy), the cast itself was a bit crappy so the fly reached the end of the cast and jerked suddenly, began to fall the 5' to the water. Before I knew what had happened the fish attacked the fly before it hit the water and that was that. Landed ths beautiful fish on the South Branch of the Renous River.about 15 lbs.
    Welcome to the Island RustyBomber
