    Default Late season

Anyone going out for a last hurrah on the ponds?
I am going to try for next week.

    Default Late season

I'm still planning to get out again. Put a little extra addition in the coffee thermos and go. Lakes are very quiet and fall is a nice time. What are your late season favorites?

    Default Anywhere

Honestly I am usually hunting or chasing cutties.
Going to try some inlets to a large lake for Bulls.
Might be a few rainbows around as well.
A certain little river I have been looking at opened up last week and it is reported to have some west slopes in it.
    How about you?

    Default Blown Out

Here on the Island the Rivers have finally blown out and that means there are few options yet to be had. The good points here are that there are still some mighty fine Coho cruising the beaches off Nile Creek ,from Deep Bay to Nanoose Bay...so,should the winds diminish over night I might be forced to stroll along the beaches...or ,we may have to fish some of the Lakes...
I am itching to fish Stewart Lake,White River flows from it...big Cutties and Dollies when around.
And as of 2 days ago there were still silver Chum coming into the Puntledge River...this year is proving to be a lenegdary year for that River!

I was thinking about hitting a lake up between Squamish and Whistler really soon, but its at 1200ft or so and i'm not sure if i've left it too late? Might give it a go anyway, but when you only have so many days you want to make the most of them!

I hit Wolf Lake here on the Island yesterday after the RD ceremony. 2 small'ish bows (12") taken in 3 hours so there are still fish biting. Hitting it again this coming weekend.

Thinking of loading up the camper this weekend and heading out to the Merritt area for some fishing/exploration. Any suggestions?

One suggestion- don't get totally hammered drunk the night before you're meant to go fishing! It normally results in failure! We're going to have to try and reschedule that trip soon!
ps went out yesterday, didn't even string up the rod!
