    Default Spring Lake

Fished Spring lake (above Peachland) yesterday afternoon. Probably not the best choice of days to go fishing in the hills. . . . snowing, line freezing in my guides, wind so heavy my 15 lb. anchor wouldn't hold my pontoon boat stationary when it really gusted. . . . Then again, I did have one beauty of a 18 inch chrome football to the boat so it wasn't all that bad! Actually, fishing was tough, one to the boat and one other lost was it for the 3.5 hours we fished. My buddy never got a sniff. Had my action on a #8 gold bead headed olive leach in 7 ft of water. Nice little lake - C and R only, aerated, relatively close, small (great belly boat lake).

Nice! Sounds like that may be a decent spot come spring.

Yup. My understanding is that the Lonely Loons FFC have supported it as a C & R lake, putting in the aerator, etc. It's a peach of a lake to belly boat in, by the looks of it there's ample feed (and I wasn't there to observe any hatches), and easy to access. I'll go back.
