To continue the thread of pet flies I've had two Malamute/Artic Wolves over the last 23 years and the long white hair from their tails is perfect for overwings or beards. It's long stiff and translucent like Polar Bear. I was always harvesting small amounts,especially in the spring when they went into full shed. I've even used the undercoat for dubbing.
