    Hi
I have learned a little about Japanese metal works and they seem to be above average.
The chemical sharpening process is probably good like their electroplating and polishing.
The carbon steel is most likely of decent quality.
Comparing Dai Riki to Daiichi I have not enough knowledge of fly hooks.

I was at Reaction yesterday and they sell Dai-riki hooks now. I ask the guy if he liked them and he said they're better than mustad. But he still uses tiemco. So if you want a better quality hook without a high price look for them. They're 6 bucks for 50 and I bought some tmc's for 6 bucks for 25 from them.
