    Default nanoose bay

Just wondering if anyone knows if coho in nanoose bay (Nanaimo) is a regular thing in the fall, and if anyone has seen any cutthroats in there

    Default Bonnell Creek

There are a few Jack Coho about and there are more on their way...but the Salt Water fishery off the east coast is in dire straights...it seems that the fish are holding off the beaches waiting for fresh water to smell. Although if you want to have some fun then make your way to Black Creek and Miracle beach for some Coho action..there are fish off Salmon Point and all teh way North to The Cluxewe beaches..but in poor numbers . While traveling north take in the Kingfisher resort and not to stay(unless you want to) but to view the waters and the point this resort is positioned on...many Coho just off the rocks...Mickey finn,Coho Buggers(Neals),Cathy's Coat ,and green and white Needle Fish patterns...good rods and long casts...10-11 foot rods 7wt is ok...Switch rods are excellent for this
Good luck...rains coming this weekend so prepare for a few winds...also long leaders, single strand 6-8 lb will do
