Sundays are usually road hunting days with the girls.
My Uncle and Aunt, myself and my wife.
We stop ata nice spot for lunch, have a little fire, roast a few smokies.
Very nice way to spend a day.
On last sunday we went to height of land in an area we hadn't explored yet.
Dropped a very nice blue grouse. ( That is 5 in the freezer.)
No new sign of deer. It looks like they have moved down a bit in the last week. Lots of 4-5 day old tracks in the snow.
Checking out a spur road we round a corner and there is a young Grizz.
Looks at us and bolts up the hill.
How cool is that!
No time for a pic.
I will post some later of what he was up to there.
Rippin apart a hillside where the dirt was all pushed up from roadbuilding.
Looks like he was eating roots and grubs.
We never saw any deer we could shoot in the bush.
24 in the fields.
